After many years of managing Medicaid policy and providing administrative oversight, Kathie joined the SSC team to focus her energy on reaching out to underserved seniors and people with disabilities. She began her career as a county eligibility worker and over the years advanced to serve as the Director of the Health Care Eligibility and Access Division for the State of Minnesota. Although Kathie has enjoyed all aspects of her career in government programs, she has found her early years as an eligibility worker and her current focus on outreach to be her most personally rewarding experiences.
