Alan R. Flaumenhaft
Chief Executive Officer
With almost 20 years of sales, management and executive leadership service in the managed care industry, Alan outlined the strategy to establish a national outsourcing company for dual eligible outreach and disability advocacy services. This vision became Social Service Coordinators® (SSC), the company he co-founded with partner Raymond Trevino.
With prominent roles in for-profit and not-for-profit managed care organizations -- including Aetna/U.S. Healthcare and HIP Health Plans of New York and Florida -- Alan oversaw successful sales units where he was responsible for expansion of both commercial and Medicare product lines, and later held responsibility for a large customer service center serving over one million managed care members.
As SSC's chief executive, Alan's primary focus is corporate and product development initiatives. Alan is involved in the day-to-day operations of each of SSC's business units, while also acting as the company's strategic visionary.
Kevin C. Barrett
President & Chief Operating Officer
With over 20 years of start-up, deal-making and operating experience in healthcare services and life sciences industries, Kevin joined SSC in April 2009 to oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations; including Outreach and Operations, Information Technology, Product Development, Sales and Account Management, Government Relations, Finance and Project Management.
Prior to joining SSC, Kevin was an executive-in-residence with Bain Capital Ventures and SV Life Sciences, two Boston-based venture capital firms. From 2004 to 2008, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of PolyMedica Corporation, the nation's largest provider of blood glucose testing supplies and related services to people with diabetes. Previous to that role, he served as Senior Vice President of BG Medicine, a biotechnology start-up company, where he was responsible for commercial operations. Before joining BG Medicine, Kevin was Chief Operating Officer of the Synergy Informatics division of Quintiles Transnational, the largest provider of outsourced drug development, commercialization and health care information services to the global pharmaceutical industry.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia University and a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the board of directors of PolyRemedy, Inc., a privately-held manufacturer of robotic systems for the fabrication of nano and micro-fiber wound treatments.
Raymond D. Trevino
President, Strategic Growth
Ray has over 25 years' experience developing, launching, building and managing health plans for a variety of national health care organizations. As President, Strategic Growth, Ray leads SSC’s efforts to identify, evaluate and develop key growth and diversification opportunities.
Prior to co-founding SSC with CEO Alan Flaumenhaft in 2000, Ray held leadership positions in operations, sales and marketing for United Healthcare Group, CIGNA Healthcare, HIP Health Plans, and Intergroup of Arizona (now Health Net of Arizona). He was instrumental to the successful launch and subsequent management of government-sponsored health plans and programs, including a full range of managed Medicare and Medicaid programs.
With such deep, broad industry experience developing and building a variety of managed health care products and programs, Ray brings valuable historical perspective and a proven track record of success to SSC's leadership team as president of its strategic growth initiatives.
Jonathan E. Mayhew
President, Disability Services
With an extensive background in managed care, Jon’s 20 years of service include a particular emphasis on government programs. Prior to joining SSC, Jon served as Senior Vice President for Managed Care Products at CIGNA Healthcare where his responsibilities included strategic oversight of the company's HMO, PPO, indemnity, and government programs. Jon directed managed care programs encompassing over 13 million lives, representing in excess of $700 million in earnings and $20 billion in revenue annually.
Prior to his tenure with CIGNA, Jon served as Senior Vice President for Aetna's Southern California healthcare operations. As president of SSC's Disability Services division, Jon oversees the development, implementation and ongoing operations of all SSC disability services.
Mark Fabiano
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Mark joined SSC in 2001, bringing fifteen years experience in the commercial and Medicare managed care industry. In his current role with SSC, Mark oversees all aspects of corporate development; including sales, marketing, product development and communications.
Prior to joining SSC, Mark served as Director of Provider Administration for Paradigm Health, a national catastrophic injury management company based in California’s Bay Area. While with Paradigm, Mark was responsible for developing a national “Center of Excellence” network. He also served as Director of Customer Service for Intergroup Healthcare Corporation in Arizona (now a Health Net plan).
Cory Fabiano
Chief Information Officer
Cory joined SSC in August 2005 as Chief Information Officer. His extensive work in software development and pioneering technologies is the perfect fit for the ever-changing and demanding technological needs of the healthcare industry. Cory is the holder of several software patents, with others pending.
In his role as CIO, Cory leads a team of professionals dedicated to facilitating the technological flow from the client to SSC. Cory’s expertise and experience includes software design and architecture, software development, product management, sales engineering and technical management.
William Trenter
Vice President, Medicare Sales & Marketing
Bill joined SSC in 2003 and oversees the sales of the organization’s Medicare Division products in the Medicare Advantage marketplace. Over the last five years, Bill played a key role in growing SSC’s market share from 35% to over 49% while adding over 2.5 million members and 30+ health plan clients to SSC’s book of business.
Bill began his managed care career in 1985 as an Account Executive with Intergroup of Arizona and over the next ten years he played an instrumental role in growing the health plan from a zero-member start-up to over 350,000 members and $750 million in revenue, overseeing national account sales and service. Bill has also held senior management roles with MatureWell and ScriptSave.
Eric Lindskog
Vice President, Finance
Eric joined SSC in March 2003 to oversee controllership and treasury functions, budgeting, and financial planning and analysis. He also supports operational analysis, reporting, and the organization’s legal, accounting and banking relationships. Eric’s finance and accounting experience includes three years in public accounting before obtaining his MBA in Finance from Rice University.
Following graduate school, he joined the Andersen Consulting Boston office where he was a consultant in the financial services industry group working on process design projects with several large banking and insurance clients. In 1999, he joined Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. as a Manager in its Internal Finance group supporting the company’s retail customer segment. He was responsible for budgeting, financial planning and analysis, and acted as an internal consultant to several retail customer sub-segments.
Sean Libby
Vice President, Corporate Development (Disability Services)
Since joining Social Service Coordinators® in 2002, Sean has worked throughout the company in building and developing innovative ways to serve the disabled population. His current responsibilities include overseeing sales and marketing for SSC Disability Services.
Prior to joining SSC, Sean managed the sales department for BridgePath, a business to business exchange in the staffing industry. In addition to his sales expertise, Sean is an experienced marketer with a particular focus in developing and implementing customer acquisition and retention strategies for emerging companies and markets.
Paul S. Frenkel
Vice President, Project and Product Management
With over 15 years in the Medicare and Medicaid industries, Paul joined SSC in 2003. He has been instrumental in helping SSC develop and implement numerous strategic initiatives including Medicare Savings Programs (MSP), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Part D Low Income Subsidy (LIS). His current responsibilities include overseeing SSC’s multi-disciplinary projects and overall product management.
Before joining SSC, Paul served as a Director for BlueCross BlueShield of New York where he managed day-to-day operations. Prior to that, he supervised the Medicare and Medicaid programs for NYLCare Health Plans of New York.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Health Services from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.
Jeff Boone
Vice President, Corporate Communications
With over 15 years communications experience, Jeff joined the SSC management team in 2010. His main responsibility is to oversee SSC's comprehensive communications strategy.
Prior to joining SSC, Jeff served in health care marketing and communication roles with regional, national and governmental health care organizations. Jeff graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah.
Cindy Bridges
Managing Director of Government Relations
Cindy Bridges joined SSC in 2005, bringing 25 years of Medicaid eligibility experience with her.
For 15 years she was with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services working as an eligibility caseworker and supervisor followed by 10 years with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist, Medicaid Eligibility Supervisor and Program Manager for Long Term Care Services. Her tenure in Texas included service in the Houston region and most recently the San Antonio region in Medicaid and Medicare Savings Programs.
In addition to overseeing the Government Relations department, Cindy is responsible for maintaining SSC’s relations with federal agencies and for implementing data sharing agreements with Medicaid Administrations.
Cindy is responsible for cultivating collaborative relations between SSC’s outreach staff and state government in the southeast and Midwest portions of the U.S.
